Bosch has two smartphone apps — and they are not interchangeable. eBike Flow is for current smart-system bikes; eBike Connect is for the previous System 2 generation. Downloading the wrong one is the most common app question we hear in the showroom.
Which app is for your bike?
eBike Flow
For: Bosch smart-system bikes (2022 onwards on most premium models)
Hardware: ConnectModule, latest displays, Gen 5 CX and current motor range

For: Bosch eBike System 2 bikes (roughly 2019–2022 era)
Hardware: Bluetooth module on compatible builds, Intuvia / Kiox / Nyon displays

Quick comparison
- Not sure which generation? See System 2 vs smart system — or bring the bike in and we will confirm in minutes.
- Flow — custom riding modes, ConnectModule security, OTA updates, Range Control, ABS statistics, Performance Upgrade. Needs a ConnectModule.
- Connect — ride tracking, navigation on supported displays, firmware updates, Strava sync on compatible setups. No Flow-style custom modes or ConnectModule features.
- You cannot swap apps — a System 2 bike will not pair with Flow; a smart-system bike uses Flow, not Connect.
