The VanMoof S6 at e-Bike Barn
The VanMoof S6 and S6 Open are £3,098.00 each at e-Bike Barn, an authorised UK VanMoof dealer. Both have a 250 W front hub motor with 68 Nm of torque, a 487 Wh battery (37-93 miles) and a 3-speed automatic hub. The S6 Open has a lower step-through frame and 24 inch wheels.

Is VanMoof still in business, and is it safe to buy a VanMoof?
Yes. After VanMoof went bankrupt in 2023, the brand was bought by Lavoie, part of McLaren Applied, and has relaunched with the S6 series. e-Bike Barn is an authorised VanMoof dealer, so you buy a new bike with the manufacturer warranty and UK workshop support from us.
Should I choose the VanMoof S6 or the S6 Open?
Both cost £3,098.00 and share the same motor, 487 Wh battery, 3-speed AutoShift hub and anti-theft tech. Choose the S6 for the classic straight frame and 27.5 inch wheels (riders 5'4" to 6'9"), or the S6 Open for an easy step-through frame, 24 inch wheels and a slightly lighter 22.7 kg (riders 5'1" to 6'5").
Which VanMoof size is right for my height?
Each VanMoof model comes in one frame size. The S6 suits riders from 5'4" to 6'9"; the S6 Open suits riders from 5'1" to 6'5". If you are under 5'4" or prefer to step through the frame, choose the S6 Open.
How far can a VanMoof go on one charge?
The S6 and S6 Open all use a 487 Wh battery, giving around 37 miles at full power and up to 93 miles in economy mode. Real-world range depends on rider weight, terrain, weather and assist level.
How long does the VanMoof S6 take to charge?
Charging from 25% to 100% takes about 4 hours, and from 50% to 100% about 2 hours 30 minutes.
What warranty does the VanMoof S6 have?
The VanMoof S6 and S6 Open come with a 3-year warranty.
Are VanMoof e-bikes road legal in the UK?
Yes. The S6 and S6 Open are electrically assisted pedal cycles (EAPCs) with a 250 W motor that assists up to 15.5 mph (25 km/h). Riders aged 14 or over can use them on UK roads and cycle paths without a licence, registration or insurance.
